"Connection is the energy that is created between two people when they feel seen, heard, and valued; when they can give and receive without judgement".

ABOUT ME
ABOUT ME
I have been a practicing clinical social worker since 1995. During my graduate school training, I learned a lesson about clinical work with children, teens, and adults which noted psychiatrist Dr. Meeks reinforced in his book "The Fragile Alliance." The lesson was about the gift of trust that people give their therapist and how we, as clinicians, must honor and keep that trust to strengthen the fragile alliance of therapy. I have cherished this gift of trust each time it has been offered by someone in my practice.
EXPERIENCE
I have been working with children, adolescents, and adults for over 25 years. I began my career in my native Washington, DC doing clinical work at Georgetown University Hospital in the Pediatric ICU and Outpatient Pediatric Clinic. I then went on to Maret School as their Director of Counseling for 6 years, For the last 16 years I have been a School Counselor at Dawson School, and these last 8 years I have concurrently been seeing children, adolescents, and adults in my private practice.
